Knarrholmen

How to sell what doesn't exist, yet.

A high class seasonal residence with a unique on-the-sea location – 10 min from Gothenburg city centre.

1940

The island Knarrholmen was donated to the workers at Götaverken Shipyards, as a recreational place with small cabins for them and their families to use during the summertime.

The history of Knarrholmen. Götaverken Shipyard.

With Götaverken closing down, maintaining the island and its facilities became difficult. And therefore the paradise was put on the market. Knarrholmen was purchased by BRA Bygg, which had a vision of creating exclusive seasonal residences on the island.

Forget Marstrand and Smögen – the idea was to create a new kind of idyll in the archipelago.

2028 became a part of the project in december 2014 kom 2028.

The challenge was to visualize and position Knarrholmen exactly right to create the right kind of expectations. Because what was for sale didn’t yet exist.
