A 90-year-old looking at the future.
Volvo Trucks wanted to celebrate their 90th anniversary at the trade show Elmia Lastbil by acknowledging 90 years of innovation. 2028 got the assignment to create a communication concept for this. And we decided to look into the future.
The first 90 years of Volvo Trucks’ history were packed with groundbreaking innovations of great importance to the whole transport industry. That’s impressive and worth celebrating. Meanwhile, the biggest challenges and needs for innovation seem to lie ahead of us.
We therefore chose to use the first 90 years of history as inspiration to look into the future. Based on that thought, we created a communicative concept that could house everything from electric trucks and remotely steered trucks to innovative services that improve safety and reduce the environmental footprint generated by transport. The theme “The next 90 years of innovation” permeated the whole Volvo Trucks stand – visually and content wise. This didn’t only result in an exciting experience for the visitors, but it also became an appreciated venue with presentations industry profiles as well as politicians.
